You need to buy stuff, so that probably puts you out.

However, the easiest way to go about it would be to contact Jits for an EV1 server. I believe it's $20/mo.

As in what do you have to buy to get a 24 hour server?

A server. Running one from home is basically infeasible. Like I said, sounds like your best bet would be to rent from jits, but that (like a server) costs money.

You would have to lease a server from someone like rackspace.com or serverbeach.com and get one that would allow you to run the dp server code.

Typically can run from $100 on up a month.

The easiest would be getting one from Jitspoe.

jits rents servers for $20/month? If thats right I might want one for the crusaders to use. If so does that mean I'll get control? Let me know jits...

Come on now Knack, lets be reasonable. He wants 1 dedicated server, there are hundreds of places he could rent one from for $20.

Cameron search google for things such as rent game servers or something. The only stumbling block is that not all places can provide you with a dp server. If you want to splash out $20, then talk to Jitspoe.

flip, yes I believe Jitspoe rents his EV1 servers for about $20-25 a month, that means you get full control of that server. If you're interested I suggest you pm Jitspoe regarding this.

Perth

What is Perth? And to set it up I would assume that it would be setup just like the guide here (http://digitalpaint.planetquake.gamespy.com/docs/server_guide_win32.html) says.

Perth is a cross between Perl, PHP, and Python.

Unless you have fiberoptics (T1 connection) I suggest you rent one.
