Title: Screenshots can't be taken anymore?
Post by: Fyre on March 12, 2005, 05:52:26 PM
this has been a problem for me for a while. whenever i got to take a screenshot, the game freezes for a few seconds like it normally would do, but then i get the message "SCR_JPGScreenshot_f: Couldn't create a file" i think this is because i've taken too many sshots, but i'm not sure. any idea why it does this jits, or anyone for that matter?

thanks,
fyrestorm.

What version are you using?  You may simply have too many screenshots, yes.  Try moving the existing shots to a different directory and see if the problem still occurs.  It should make taking screenshots faster, too, as it won't have to check all the different filenames to find one that hasn't been used.

I took a screen shot the other day (to show some one the 'banana' texture....and the quality was very poor.  My video was set high, but not full screen.  Is there a known cause for this?

In your setup, adjust the slider for "JPEG quality" or manually change gl_screenshot_jpeg_quality.  I think 85 is the default value.
