I remember, a long time ago when i had just started getting good at paintball...i would check the servers when i felt like playing, and there was sometimes a server with two or three people in it! As time went on, the servers became more and more populated. This was fine with me until just recently. Now, most servers have at least 10 people in them. at all times.
Having so many people in the maps that were only designed for 3v3 or so, ruins the gameplay. I think that now, instead of facing the problem of trying like heck to find a server with people in it, we have a problem of overpopulation. As i see it, there's only one way to deal with this. Put the maxclients at, at most, 8. And put up another server.

i think in build 11 this is taken care of. if the map was designed for 3v3 and we have say 5v5 then that map will be skiped and so on till there is a map designed for 5v5.
i remember when i first started playing dpb must have been 5 or so years ago (when it was mod of the week at planetquake) and all the servers where allmost full all the time. we had dif maps then too so it was better but its great fun to join a server and start playing the map and say to myself oh sh*t i know this map this one is old.

Yeah, that issue is being resolved.

The issue of him calling it "dpb" and not "dp"?

Maybe we should run separate servers, one with maxclients 6 and running small maps, 10 for medium maps, 14 for large maps or something.

i could see that working only you will need to have like 3 servers running small maps cause everyone will be trying to get into them.

fryth: that would be a good temporary fix.
