for the life of me i cant remember how to get custom textures into bsp???
-
You have to make .wal files for them. Wally will do it, but make sure you have the Paintball2 palette loaded.
-
ok...gots all my textures in.wal files...placed them everywhere under the sun...can't access them through BSP...help?
DUH...nevermind!
-
pball/textures/s8n
Then hit L and select s8n. Replace s8n with whatever you want.
-
when i press L, it just gives me pball2. i know i have 4x's texture folder in there...just...meh.
EDIT:
found my problem. anyway...another question. do the tex's have to be .wals? can i use some other guy's custom texture as a .jpg?
-
Paintball2 will load jpegs, but BSP won't.
-
oooooooookay. is there any way to make a .jpg INTO a .wal?
-
Use Wally.

I guess that works as well, but it seems just as easy to open (jpg), file/save as (wal). Just make sure you have the right palette loaded in wally. :)
