Title: In-game mic chat.
Post by: SkateR on November 05, 2006, 01:14:43 PM
I realize there could be negative aspects to this, but it could also be very beneficial. Make a cmd where you can ignore certain players Mic's, etc. A lot of people have mics. It would be easier for recon and all that jazz.

In favor, say DOODLE POPZ

Not in favor, say KILL MYSELF.

You can ignore player's mics on Ventrilo.. I'm unsure about TS  I wonder if in-game chat would slow gameplay?

I don't think it would slow game play.

ALL IN FAVOR, DOODLE POPZ

in-game voice is pretty spiffy and in most experiences in CS, it does help team-play, especially in games where everything is very teamwork-oriented, like NS.

DP pubs aren't really very teamwork-oriented in any way though, and it would take a long time to implement such a feature.

in my opinion (if anybody cares) a built-in voice recon would greatly improve the game. it has the potential to make teams play as teams and not individuals due to the ease of communication, thus improving the game play. it might even attract new players.

Just make .loc files to be with sound =). (after pressing the bind it wouldn't just show you the recon, it would SAY you the recon)

now thats a good idea. it might be possible with lots of alias's, but everyone will need to have identical alias's along with the sounds. maybe jits could put implement an easier way in the new build, if it doesnt take that much effort/time.

You have to vote for it, in order to implement it in a new build.

You really want to hear imalamp that bad, huh?

Of course it's possible, but I don't have a particular desire to implement it.  I suppose if enough people want it, I might.
