So... for some reason my ping (on any online game) spikes from normal to 200-500, very frequently, causing me to freeze. Making games unplayable..
I got a new router, didn't change anything.
My ISP claims everything is running fine from their end.
My computer is all up to date, very good graphics card.
So what should I check to try to fix this? I miss videogamesdoe.

Skype is on similar style like phone cable, so make sure it's closed. It can be problem, or some similar program. Make sure your router isn't too hot, and his temperature is good. Maybe some virus can be problem between your pc and inet. Please specify your router used. Try run msconfig and check what progams or stuff is running on startup, there can be sth new sitting on your connection? Check your HDD or SSD storage left, if u are on few GB it can be prob too sometimes.

I would suggest seeing if anyone is mooching of of your internet. For example going to the list of all computers connected to your wifi.
You can do this by going into Command Prompt and typing "net view".
If you find anyone that you don't know of you could always do a remote shutdown.
If you don't know how to perform a remote shutdown there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube. ;D
