i successfully made a map...(no bugs!) its pretty basic, but highly addicting even if u play with acebots. the way my map works is there is a big room in the center with both flags in it, you have to grab the other team's flag and bring it back to your base. anyways, heres the link if u wanna try it

can someone tell me how to post pictures? it would really help

Click on "Additional Options..." in the posting window. You can attach images from there.

more map pics

u use the no.4 crosshair? how do u manage too use that thing lol
-
usually i use the #7 or 6, i just use the #4 for show lol :P
-
OMFG
This map looks tiny, really small.
-
interesting map :D, good job for your first. The crosshair kind of gets in the way of pics, when you take them use crosshair 0 so you dont have a crosshair.
-

OMG!!! MAKE THE CELINGS HIGHER!!! THERE'S NO JUMP ROOM!!!

Where is the light coming from? Some areas are dark and some are bright with no visible light source.
-
It's teh magic light hack... or maybe medley crew 2 is using a flash-light while taking his screenshots ;)
-
The light comes from light entities that are invisible unless you add a brush to them.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't support for the light entities been removed from PB2? I've fixed up old Q2 maps that used only light entities for lighting, and the maps were completely black until I made some light-value-applied brushes.
-
there there.
-
i'm sure it still works, this map uses quake2 light entities, and it works, so i guess they do still work
-
bug: light entities are removed during the compile process so they don't hog up server resources. If you decompile a map, they won't be there.

That's interesting, but if so, how come some light entities were still in the Q2 maps I decompiled?
-
Different compiler settings, maybe?
-
??? okay, im confused with all this light entity stuff!
