jitspoe i was wondering if you can help me out by telling me what files exactly are those stupid sounds like when you get killed and stuff... i want to delete them and just have the normal gun fire and jumping and stuff like that just the basic sounds so i would appreciate if you can tell me which ones exactly i can delete... thanx in advance..
-
I'm not sure why you addressed this to me specifically, but the death sounds are in pball/sound/death.
-
well i addressed it to you cause i mean you know the most about the game... but i want to know all the stupid sounds like when you cap or when the game ends.. i just want gun fire jumping and you know the basic nessesary sounds...
-
ok well i deleted that folder and when i opened the game it just redownloaded them.. how do i get rid of them for good???
-
go into Options, in there should be a "Download Option" section, disable downloading sounds so it doesnt download any sounds anymore.
-
Game is more funny with all the sounds, why you want to delete them? I bet it was hard work to make them :(
-
well i am sure it was hard work but after playin so much it just gets annoying...
-
Hard work to make them? OMGWTFBBQROFLCOPTERLOLLERSKATES. They're mostly clips ripped from popular entertainment like Bevis and Butthead and The Simpsons.
-
I've heard almost all of these sounds used in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory too.
-
Personally, i think this game would be better with more "searious" sounds to it, though the clips now aren't bad.
-
Change the default ones wiith some sounds out of CounterStrike and the game bocomes quite decent.
-
Counter-Strike sounds get annoying after 10 minutes of gameplay "take the point!", and on surf maps all you hear are n00bs falling to their death.
-
wow bit, that's a great idea, i'll try it when i get home tomorrow.
-
I've already posted them somewhere... Try searching for them.
If you can't find them, I can rehost them, if it's necessary
