Title: LAG
Post by: iEATnoobs on January 16, 2011, 12:34:51 PM
What the excrement, i get lag spikes that last about 2 seconds and they occur about every 15 seconds. Happens on all servers and all maps.

Did you change your graphics settings? Maybe they're slowing down you're computer.

You do know how pointless that post is?  And just take a guess at what other games he plays...  Probably more memory/processing hungry than PB.

I'm useless on this topic though, but did it happen after an update or anything?

2 possible problems - packetloss or virus. In my case it was virus. Test netspeed and ping, if that's OK, check your processes if something is chewing your PCU when it's idle, isolate and google that program to see if it's possible trojan.

Yea its not the graphics settings, i play crysis with no problems. I have virus protection, but not to say something slipped by. I just dotn see anything eating up memory or my cpu. How would i go about testing my netspeed and ping?

Can you take the sshot on a background other than black so we can see the black lines (which is the packet loss).
