I just got my new computer. its not brand new. its an Compaq Evo d51s. its a desktop and i put Dp on it yesterday. and for some reason ill be playing and my fps will normally be around 60's to 80's and then ill lag like every 5-6 seconds. and my fps will drop down to 20-30 and then it will go back to my normal fps. so if anyone knows about this any help will be very appreciated

Sorry for the late reply.  You might have something running in the background that's taking up your CPU (virus scanner, malware, etc.)  I would run task manager and sort the processes by CPU usage and see if anything jumps up to the top while you're lagging in the game.

I know I was having this problem on Call of Duty and I found that it was due to an overheating issue so you might want to check that too.
