hi there i am trying to make new hr4 pack .. i just started so tell what do you think abotu screens ..

I got to say that it looks cool. Especially carpathian. They are really smooth - tatras looks really smoth with these textures. Pforest looks kinda dark in these textures but it can be solved with gl_brightness imo.
The only thing that sucks is pp1. These bricks look totally weird.

carp is the most playable for me with these texts =P anyway , thank you =)
I think that you shouldn't play with these textures till it's agreed as a new hr4 pack. It smells like modifying textures then.

Aren't these textures far too bright? It would be so easy to see enemy using them, that nobody would use other packs. Doubt these will be released with official hr4 pack, unless you darken them a bit.

Well when the textures would be darker you could simply use gl_brightness and make it brighter..
The pp1 bricks look better but it still doesnt fit to this.

So, first question: Did you make these or steal them from other games?

Yours:
Propaint1: The bricks are the same quality as most hr4 packs, except white. Giving a major advantage. I can't really tell about your woods since I can't see your mid.
2nd ss was better, but still gave to much whiteness. Ladder was ugly.

Carpathian: I liked the grass, and I like most of your woods, but the wall was to light. You should try to make it similar to the others [meaning adding more gray to it] so it doesn't give an advantage but still is nicer.

Pforest: I liked both screenshots of it alot.

Renoir: Don't like the wall all that much. Other then that it was nice.

Prolandr: That wall is really nice, but it gives way to much of an advantage compared to the walls that most people are using.

Oth: I like the wood in your bridge, but not so much the wall, although the wall is nicer then mine by alot. :)

Tatras: Nicer then my wall, but abit bright. Not that seeing people matters on that map since its a cap fest.

Castle1: Can't stand your walls. I just don't like the look of those.

My pack is basically a mix of what I thought were the nicest textures from each pack. I'm learning how to make textures so i'll still improve mine eventually. If anyone already knows how to make textures it'd be nice if you let me know how :)

-My OTH/Prolandr walls are extremely ugly. Does anyone have a better one they could send me? I'd also like a nicer Carpathian wall :)

I like your renoir walls. Most of the stuff seem too smooth and washed out, and don't have any details in the textures.

I think Spartax's pp1 grass texture is UGLY. It looks like it's very poor detailed and such.. MyeRs' textures are the best. ;D

Spartax's wall textures are sick though!!

This textures are like cheating.

The only reason to use such textures is to see the players easier.



Btw: MyeRs' wood texture from the bridge at oth looks not bad.

i like your first wall texture on pforest spartax looks alot better :) and the other maps are sick.

OTH walls and grass = Win.
Grass on CARP and PFOREST and PROLANDR walls = Ok.

I'm not sure if people will like to have these textures since it's not allowed as some hr4 pack so it might be considered as cheating.

Yah Spartax, if you create your own textures you should really wait for them to be approved by Jitspoe, or he'll decide how to get them approved in a vote. But for now I wouldn't give it to others, as it could lead to trouble for them later on if its not approved of now.

The grass you use isn't one of the nicer grasses, it's just bright and easy to see people on. The barrels are the same way, they do not look nicer, they just provide an advantage. You're game is so bright, everyone must stick out alot.

LIKES:

- Freedom wall
- I think I like that wall on prolandr more then what I have in my pack.

DISLIKES:

- All the grasses are the same
- Barrels
- Water
- Pforest woods/wall --> I like Rick's pforest, or the dark marble one that I used to have.
