Nice work! Maybe some of the stickys can be unstickied now and this put in their place. I think that there are a few mapping guides you missed though - I think jits did one on making ladders properly somewhere.

The OTB-Links are wrong. U must use ftp=....; not url=....

Here is another HR4 pack: ftp://www.otb-server.de/pub/HR4.zip (ftp://www.otb-server.de/pub/HR4.zip)
Title: Re: Mapping Resources (textures, models, guides)
Post by: Garrett on December 30, 2008, 12:27:58 PM
-Added the guides mentioned
-Fixed OTB ftp links (Thanks T3RR0R15T for the heads up)
-Added the hr4 pack (Thanks again, T3RR0R15T)
-Revised download instructions for texture packs
-Fixed a few other download links

Any more ideas?

I'll give this a few days then start removing the posts that were made for corrections done to the original post.  It will keep this thread clean.

Uhm, I really don't see why you are making those posts SIR MICKEY.
If you have nothing IMPORTANT (I thought you would understand it better with caps) to say, don't say anything at all.

Garret you could add links to other sites like rust, which have mapping guides etc.

Isn't Rust outdated/ down?  I remember one of those old sites requiring a login to view any of the guides.

I don't know do they update Rust, but you'r are right. It needs to have account for Rust to enter the database, but you can just simply register one. These links would be nice, cause I think there plenty of Quake mapping guides around the internet.

I could always make an account for the site and have the username and password displayed on the forum but I wouldn't doubt someone would change the password just to be annoying.

Post by: _burnt on January 06, 2009, 08:56:53 AM
That would work if no-one wants to be annoying. But the pass can be recovered by email, if someone wants to be annoying.

There's a link someplace on the forums, but I can't remember exactly where. So for now, here.

Also, I think that link doesn't work on IE. Not entirely sure, but I think it works fine on Firefox, so that might be the reason a lot of people didn't notice.

The correct, working link from the original post:

2.CTP version 1 for BSP  Put folder in the<- bsp\pball2\quake2\pball\textures\ directory (ftp://otb-server.de/pub/CTP%20-%20Community%20Texture%20and%20Model%20Pack/CTP1-SDK-Prerelease.zip)

Just in case someone hasn't figured it out yet.

My Problems =
Team1 = Blue
Team2 = Red
When testing with info_player_deathmatch (Teamnumber = 1 and 2nd info..._match is Teamnumber = 2) and Yelow, Purple, Blue, and Red are all in my map (when I put maxteams 2 and gamemode)

Ic3’s Pub/Beta Map Pack (http://www.ic3y.de/pbfiles/maps/pubandbetamaps_17072011.tar.gz)
Ic3’s Jump Map Pack (http://www.ic3y.de/pbfiles/maps/jumpmaps.tar.gz)
Ic3’s Texture Pack (http://www.ic3y.de/pbfiles/textures/textures_17072011.tar.gz)

Are there working links for these mappacks/texturepacks or should we delete them from the resources list?
