Its weird. At school I get pretty much all of them and at home I only get the 4 orignal public servers. Whats up with this?? Is it that my internet at home just really sucks doggy poo?
-
Hit 'Clear' and then 'Update'.
-
Done that sio many times and yet it never works :(
-
firewall issue? does dp use a different port to get the list, or could it just be a dos/too many hits type thing? just some idears.
-
The server list is updated on port 80. Its a web call. If you can surf the land created by Al Gore, then you can dl the server list.
-
its not an firewall issue. About what you said KnacK, how would I get that setup?
-
If you can see the contents of this link, then you have other issues updating your server list.

Oh f... I can see it what do I need to do to fix it??

Try a complete reinstall of DP.
-
ok.... I will try... I'll let you know how it goes
-
I turned off Windows Firewall, but is there anything else I should accept to be unblocked by it to play paintball2?
-
you dont need to turn off windows firewall. what knack is saying is that any computer able to see this webpage and not able to download the server list doesnt have firewall issues. turn your firewall back on.
-
I already turned it back on hours ago. but the problems still continue to exsist via the internet at home. when at school its just fine...

I Unintsalled it but I kept the installation file from the website when I donwloaded it. Should I download that again?
-
no thats fine
-
I uninstalled the game for a second time, and..... its another fail. I only get those six that everyone gets
-
When you uninstalled the game, did you make sure that the install directory was removed? If not, uninstall again and delete the folder where it was installed to make sure nothing is left.
-
but why would it be like that just at home an not the other place I play?

not only that. I lost all servers on the list AND I did what you told me to do Knack and it didn't work

Reinstalling probably won't make a difference. Chances are, the server ports themselves may be blocked. If you're getting some servers, then you're getting the server list. Try using the external server browser, if you're not already, and see what ports the servers that show up are running on. I have a similar issue at work because a number of ports are blocked, so only a couple servers that are running on non-standard ports show up.
