according to hoagy, the original charge(him molesting the little girl) may be thrown out. apparently it was all made up. but when the cops showed up to his house he openly admitted to having acid and voluntarily gave up his computer to be searched. which ended up screwing him over more.

I know, but like most people, I build up mental images of what people are like over time. Even if they're not accurate, it makes their behavior, fake or real, fairly predictable in this online environment. It's out of hope that I wish they were the same in RL, and when they're not, it is rather disappointing, no matter how many times it happens.

Maybe that's being overly optimistic. :P

Local news? Where abouts do you live? I'm about 3-4 hours south of Washington County, NY.

I'd wager that about the same ratio of people who were aware of his actions in real life (vs. those he knew), would be represented in the DP/online community. That is, many close associates in both worlds probably knew of his drug use, and few to no people in both worlds probably knew of his pedophile/molestator ways.

I think ultimately if someones conning their personality, the inconsistencies will appear. If somehow there are no abberations in a fake personality, this persons got a new profession.
