Pretty simple layout. Lots of open air, rspeeds aren't too bad considering the openness. Made a blue brick texture which hopefully someone with skillz can either make look better or replace. (wanted a darker blue)
Supports ctf koth dm
Extract to your paintball2 folder.

EDIT: ingame that blue brick is horrid
i noticed a few ceiling lights (the yellowish ones) that are misaligned

Why didn't you just use city_2_6 or brick2_1?
No matter, here's a better blue brick in regular and hr4 versions.
it makes all the difference in the map, you're welcome :)

My parents had brick just like that on the side of their house... except it was a different hue. ;)
I've put the map up on the beta server. Sorry it took so long. Been behind on forum posts.
I think a different filename might be in order - something like spyramid. I keep forgetting which letters of which word you used. :P
Also, the map info file needs to have the same name as the bsp, so beta/supyra_b1.txt, not beta/supyra.txt. Thanks for including that, though.

You're welcome, glad to help out with any new decent maps getting released :). Now, to pay me back, when this one's done, get it and stack put on er33t and paintcentral servers :D.

Haven't played it yet or downloaded but judging from those screenshots the map looks very "different" and fun to play Good Job =]

Here is beta 2. Changed name to spyramid to see if it's easier to remember... may change again or back to supyra.
The middle has been re-done, and if I may say so, looks alot better than the arrow crates.
The strange texture/alignment problem is fixed. I like the texture and spent alot of time aligning that texture. The wall texture and sky texture was the closest match I could find for this map. Most maps don't tower over the wall heights so I did what I could. I did make the top wall thicker and the sky higher.

There is no place to cap Krewzer either that or I missed it but other than that it looks great.

I hadn't until now taken the time to play this but it looks set to be the next pub classic, it has just the right mixture of death-defying leaps, huge slopes and fast gameplay.
Although I would like to kick you in the balls for the horrific blue brick texture :D

Apocalypse: You cap at the other teams flag location. I seemed to be able to cap just fine.
ViciouZ: I admitted I needed help with a blue brick texture... didn't mean to make you sick. :)

Actually you cap where your flag is, (not at the other teams flag) which is at the top room on each pyramid. I tightened up the base entity on b2 so that you had to enter pyramid to cap instead of just running by outside. If you have the other teams flag and are standing on the post where your flag is and it's not capping then there's a problem. I'll have to take another look at it.
Edit: Works fine for me... are you playing ctf mode? Default mode is KOTH.

Looks good. I've got it up on the beta server. I don't see any issues so far. Thanks for including and structuring everything properly in the zip, though you may want to use the other brick texture.

I put on a negative gravity and it looks like you've made a really wierd sky 'roof'. It's no just a roof, it's like a box.

Also, it's still too low, even with the strange box sky. I can easily hit my head on it (and I suck!)

Could this be a potential siege map? I mean what with all the disappearing and re-appearing game-mode brushes that change the map!

Just a tip: have you scaled down your HUD for the screen? If so, just use cl_drawhud 0. If not (and your HUD is normal) It doesn't matter

Yes, the sky is not a box. Because the map is so open I've angled the sky sortof how you show it. But actually it's at more of an angle and has compound angles around the map. The very top of the sky between pyramid tops is a angled box between them just like you show.
It sounds like if you try hard enough, you'll find a way to hit your head no matter how high I raise the sky. I'll look at raising the sky more but I'd like to keep the rspeeds reasonable.
This map actually already supports siege... I just forgot to include siege in the mapinfo. I'll fix that, thanks for reminding me.
Jitspoe: I spent soooo much time making that brick textrue line up... I'm really not wanting to even touch it anymore. The inside and outside of the pyramid bricks don't line up because of the angles. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, and just replacing it may be an even swap out but... argghhh! ;(

I'll look at raising the sky more but I'd like to keep the rspeeds reasonable.
What you've done is the best thing, just make that box (like I showed) bigger.
It's not that hard, all you have to do ius stand at the top of one of them and strafe jump towards the other, and you easily launch off the other and hit your head.

Not sure if you're still planning to do anything with this, but I just played it in KOTH mode, and it's probably the best KOTH mode map there is. It was a lot of fun, and people actually figured out what was going on. I don't know about for CTF mode, but for KOTH, I think all it needs is some nice custom textures that fit the theme a bit better. Let me know if you're interested, and I could make a wider version of one of the HR4 textures that would fit a bit better.

I think KOTH has the potential to be the best game mode if played correctly it can be very team based event and I don't think it gets played enough in my opinion shame krewzer's other KOTH map stack was great fun when I used to play at school.

This map is beast, most likely the fun map you would ply. All you need is a little bit more adjustments and your set. Good map.

So I don't think there are any glaring issues with this one. I'll probably just move it out of beta unless somebody has any issues to point out.
