I am college where I cannot access any public servers. However alot of people play on the network. But we have these idiots that play for one team and then switch and kill their "new team" with paint grenades. I need some help. Is there a way to boot these guys? Can I set up a server or whatnot? I nned some help please.

You need to set a login. See the server guide documentation here: http://www.planetquake.com/digitalpaint/docs/server_guide_win32.html
Once you're logged in, type "players" to get a list of the players and their id's, then type "kick #" where # is the id of the player. You can also use tban to temp ban them.
-
Or, you could have autojoin on, then set the commands 'join (color)' so that you needed to login to use them...
Jits, would that work?
-
Um, it would stop them (and everybody else) from switching teams, but not from being nuisances.
-
Yep. Or, you could make tossgren a login-required command. That'd be fun. (Admin abuse! Well, kinda.)
-
Or you could get them before they get you!!! Actually I was going to say that if you have login or it's your server you can turn off grenade friendly fire: set grenadeffire 0/1
What it comes down to is you need login to do much about problem makers. I should know... I'm a problem maker... sometimes...
-
In that case, admin abuse would be justified, dont you think?

VIEWGIB!
Heh. There needs to be a viewkick.
-
Um, it's not admin abuse if you're taking care of problem players. It's admin abuse when you kick/viewgib players that haven't done anything wrong.
