I can imagine people who are losers in life use aimbots or wallhacks to build their Self Esteem and self confidence.

Back in July 2002 eR33t sent a team of fourteen elite ninjas to install spy cameras in bedrooms, offices and common areas of 85% of paintball2 to uncover the cheaters throughout the community. To date 1403 cheaters have been detected and are constantly being monitored from our command centre in northern Alaska. Efforts are underway to install cameras throughout the homes of the new German players. This is an all too funny subject. Most of the people that cheat are not hackers, they are worms that obtained a copy of the work that someone else did. I'm sure that anyone with a bit of intelligence and programming skills could find some sort of exploit examining the source code for this game.
Now, these "hackers" claim that they create thier hacks to demonstrate the exploitability of the system. Bullexcrement! Those "hackers" are simply better than average intelligent pieces of excrement with no/low self esteem and the sad desire to get attention. Like little babies throwing a fit so mommy will pick them up. And those "worms" that obtain the "hacking" work of someone else and use it are simply the same on a lesser intelligence scale. And those that adopt a hack as thier own in order to attempt to be know as a "hacker" are probably future shoe sales men and just as bad, if not worse, than the others.
Sadly the internet is perfect for these types of excrement piles. There is no answering for your actions here. And that's so sad. So, until the day comes where we can reach through the monitor and solve the problems these low-life people that cowardly hide behind thier monitors cause. The honest intelligent fun-loving people will just have waste good honest time on them.
Thoughts:
When I play this game its a toss up on which S8N will show up. Less often then not I feel indestructable, but mostly I get rolled over. But I have fun and continue on. I revel in the fact that I play this game 100% unmodified and still do as well as I do. I have no custom skins so the players are more vissible, no custom paintball model or paintball skins so the paintballs are more vissible, no hax, no nothing. Accept for one custom crosshair (that does me absolutely no good at all) that i've made, I simple play the game how it came out of the box. I often think about how well I would do if everyone was forced to play the game unmodified. I like to think I would consistantly do much better, but probably not. But what really makes me laugh and keeps me from really getting upset is the fact that those that run hax or play a modified game know, even if they don't admit it to themselves, that they have placed themselves on an inferior plane to us "pure" players. In our deepest souls and hearts there can never be a true measure between us. The "pure" players are superior. The "modified" players are simply trying to keep up.

Profanity is a crutch. If you need to use it, you don't sound very authoritative to begin with.
Anyway, to be honest, I don't think cheats run nearly as rampant as people are led to believe. Belief in cheats is also a crutch some people use. "He's probably cheating anyway, so I still think I'm the better player." I'm not aiming this specifically at you, S8N. A lot of people feel that way.
Say, hypothetically, I put in some cheat detection for some of the basic wallhacks. How many do you think it would have picked up in the last month?

I dont think a wallhack is a good ways to cheat, spotting the enemy is one thing, shooting 'm is another.

The funny thing is...when i'm playing, unless something extrememly way out of the ordinary happens, I never consciously think people are cheaating. I will talk smack and yell out HAX just to be annoying, but on issues where I think I shot at someone and they didn't die I usually shrug it off as latency or something.
But we all know everyone that kills me is a cheater. I'm the greatest player alive...how can I every be honestly beaten?

Cursing is just a different way of saying the same thing. I think there should'NT be such thing as profanity cause it doesn't exist.
What should happen is all the energy people spend on trying to stop profanity should be used to stop people from say AXE instead of ASK and leanr the intercoursing language you no good goshdarned lazy ass people ENGLISH IS THE LANGUAGE SPOKEN HERE...NOT REDNECK, NO EBONIC, NOT GANGSTA SLANG...ENGLISH.
At this rate in 12 years the President's speech will go like this, "Yo wuddup my fellow b1tches. I's gots ta AXE ya a quezdunn. Is you be tied of all dat tax hikin and shizzle? I'ze gone get to putting da smack-down on dem taxes right after I finish remodlin my trailer and raising mines and my's sisters youngin."

This game has allways been subject to rampant cheating, it's just to easy to do even if you dont use a hacked exe. Someone admitted last night to using oversized models and there are many other simple ways to cheat. It's one of the reasons i dont really play anymore.

Lol, today i saw a ball curve in on me, i first thought it was just me getting Schizo after all this talk about cheating but then i entered another game and some guy commented that a ball curved in on him, some other guy answed saying he's using some sort of cheat.
Personally i don't care to much about this, i'll kick their ass anyway, but if it gets to the point that people don't even try to hide it i'm getting worried.

Most likely, what you experianced was simply a guy wanting to look cool by telling everyone he was hacking. And the usual group of people that yell "U HaXcksor!1!1" etc,
Is it even possible to "curve a paintball"? I thought that was more of an aimbot from your post, but perhaps something new has come about. And people don't hide it because there rarely banned, and use so many different names that you really don't know who they are. That is why Global Stats was such a hot topic so long ago, they could fix most of this if that was around. Until then I vote more trusty admins (more then one or two) should be given kick ops on the popular servers.

Paintball flight is server-side. Balls do have some curve to them, especially if you don't have a barrel, but it's random. There's no way anybody can control it.

Curving a ball is easy, just jump sideways as you shoot. People who have played for a long time know how to do this.

That just adds your sideways velocity to the ball. It doesn't necessarily make it curve.

I would really like to see jitspoe increase the brightness of the paintballs to enhance their visability. q_ball was neat because I think you could select your pball colour, however I like team colours the best.
